What is Cross Pipe Fittings?


Cross is also known as four-way Pipefitting. In other terms, a pipe fitting cross is a type of pipe fitting that can be used at a point where four pipes meet together. This type of pipe fittings cross may have one inlet and three outlets, or their inlets and one outlet. The diameter of the outlet and inlet can be the same and can also be different. The ends of these fittings are positioned at 90-degree angles and the threads are designed to create a stable grip and secure connection to male pipe fittings. Because these pipe fittings are located at the center of four connection points, these fittings generate more and put an amount of stress on the pipe as the temperature changes. Cross fittings are generally used for fire sprinkler systems.
